Roseville, MI: PROFORM expands its Factory Performance line of
Official Licensed GM Restoration Parts. The latest offerings include
100% all-new alternators. Four new part numbers cover most popular GM
car and truck applications: an internal-regulator alternator for 1973-86
vehicles (PN 141-656) plus 100-amp (PN 141-657), 80-amp (PN 141-659) and
60-amp (PN 141-658) 1-wire models. All components used in these assemblies are 100% new, including the heavy-duty rotors. Also, these Factory Performance GM Official Licensed alternators feature machined pulleys and fully show-polished cases. The red Chevrolet Bowtie Emblem is prominently displayed on the front housing. General Motors Trademarks are used under license to Specialty Auto Parts U.S.A., Inc.
PROFORM tests each alternator prior to shipping. As part of its Quality Assurance program, a performance graph is enclosed in the box with its respective alternator. Representative performance for the 100-amp application (tested at 13.0 volts): 59 amps @ 1800 alternator RPM, 72 @ 2000 RPM, 104 @ 3000 RPM, 115 @ 4000 RPM, 119 @ 5000 RPM and 121 @ 6000 RPM.
