Aluminum Water Pumps For Chevy Small-Blocks And V-6s

ROSEVILLE, MI: PROFORM, an industry leader in Official GM Licensed engine accessories, now offers aluminum mechanical water pumps for many Chevy small-blocks and 90-degree V-6s. These pumps offer up to 40% more cooling flow.
PROFORM begins each pump with a cast-aluminum housing. Compared to cast iron, aluminum's weight savings can be as much as 50%. (Each PROFORM aluminum mechanical pump has approximately an 8-lb. shipping weight.)
Inside, these water pumps feature CNC-machined cast-iron impellers. This design is superior to stamped steel because of its improved accuracy and durability. Each impeller has six curved vanes to eliminate cavitation while maximizing flow and pressure at low engine rpm -- where you need it most. Durability is also improved by a 5/8" pump shaft, which rides on heavy-duty ball bearings that have greater load capacity than stock pumps' bearings.
