Easy Carb Float Adjustment
September 2003
Warren, MI: Adjusting the floats in your carburetor is anything but easy. It's tough to hold the adjusting screw in position while using a wrench on the locknut, and it's even worse if you're trying to adjust the float while the engine is running and fuel is spraying everywhere.
There's an easier way: use the Proform Carburetor Float Adjusting Tool. Just lower the professional-grade Float Adjusting Tool over the float screw and locknut, turn the tool to break loose the locknut, then turn the tool's internal flathead screwdriver to adjust the fuel flow. When you've got the flow properly adjusted turn the knurled tool body to snug down the locknut - without loosing the screw position - and torque the locknut! The tool helps direct escaping fuel downward, making adjustment easier and a whole lot less messy. The anodized aluminum handle makes the Float Adjusting Tool easy to spot in your toolbox and keeps it looking good for years to come.
