Build On A Strong Base

Warren, MI: A performance engine is only a strong as its foundation, so be sure you start with quality fully-prepped block. Carburetors are the same way; you've got to have a solid baseplate if you expect your carb to work properly during the heat of competition. There can't be any cracks in the baseplate, loose throttle shafts or out-of-adjustment secondaries if you want the carb to perform when you need it.
Proform knows that the typical die-cast carburetor baseplate can quickly wear out or be sloppy right out of the box, so they designed this billet aluminum throttle base plate for maximum strength and reliability. Starting with a solid chunk of aircraft-quality aluminum, the Proform Billet Throttle Base Plate is CNC machined to exacting dimensions prior to being anodized for durability and corrosion resistance. Button-head Torx throttle plate screws and a welded throttle shaft practically eliminate the possibility of components loosening during severe vibration, and a power valve offers serious blow-out protection. The secondary air flow cam bracket is fully adjustable and the slip-link mechanical linkage offers tried-and-true operation. Hand-assembled in the US and available for most 650 CFM through 850 CFM Holley® Double-Pumper® and Proform carburetor models 67100, 67101, 67107 and 67108 with mechanical secondaries, the Proform Billet Throttle Base Plate is a great start when building your next "magic" carb.
