VAN NUYS, CA – For the 2003 model year, Mercedes-Benz® updated the S-Class with truly elegant lights. Not only do these lamps give a more distinctive flair, they also improve lighting output for improved safety and visibility. Performance Products® now allows owners of 2000-02 S-Class cars to retrofit these beautiful new headlamps. Two upgraded systems are available: Halogen Projector Beam and Bi-Xenon High Intensity Discharge. The relatively affordable halogen system uses a compact lens to focus the bulb’s beam. This results in a longer, brighter beam than the one produced by traditional plastic reflective lenses. Aesthetically, the projector lamps look high-tech, even during the daylight. Performance Products® also offers the Bi-Xenon headlamps that are optional on the 2003 S-Class. Using the same projector-beam lens as the halogen system, the Bi-Xenon arrangement replaces the bulbs with High Density Discharge (HID) light that’s created through xenon gas. This HID light is brighter and whiter and more closely replicates natural sunlight. Headlamp systems include complete instructions, although professional installation is recommended. Either headlamp kit is sure to give your 2000-02 S-Class a better, brighter look. (Updated taillamps are also available.)
